DESCRIPTION:The Borough of Spring Lake Heights has joined the effort by Monmouth County Commissioners to make September 11th a day of remembrance and have made the day an official holiday of the boro.\nMunicipal offices will be closed on September 11th\, although due to previous scheduling\, garbage and recycling will be collected.\nIn future years\, those activities will be rescheduled to allow our employees to honor the day.\n\n\nThe Mayor and Council will be joining Monmouth County at the 9/11 Memorial as announced in their post below instead of hosting our own individual ceremony.\nGod Bless America and we honor the men and women who died on this tragic day along with all those who lost their life in the related aftermath.\n\n————————————————————–\nAs we approach the anniversary of 9/11\, the Monmouth County Board of County Commissioners invites everyone to attend the annual September 11 Memorial Ceremony\, which will be held at Mount Mitchill Scenic Overlook at 460 Ocean Blvd.\, Atlantic Highlands\, on Wednesday\, Sept. 11\, 2024\, at 8:00 a.m. For more information\, go to: visitmonmouth.com.
