The Borough of Spring Lake Heights has joined the effort by Monmouth County Commissioners to make September 11th a day of remembrance and have made the day an official holiday of the borough.
Municipal offices will be closed on September 11th, although due to previous scheduling, garbage and recycling will be collected.
In future years, those activities will be rescheduled to allow our employees to honor the day.
The Mayor and Council will be joining Monmouth County at the 9/11 Memorial as announced in their post below instead of hosting our own individual ceremony.
God Bless America and we honor the men and women who died on this tragic day along with all those who lost their life in the related aftermath.
