Construction Official – Building Inspections
The Regional Construction Department provides Construction Code Services for Brielle, Sea Girt, Spring Lake, & Spring Lake Heights. This office is responsible for issuing building permits, inspecting work to ensure safety, and enforcing the state’s Uniform Construction Code (UCC) and local ordinances.

INSPECTIONS
Due to the recent change in the code 5:23-2.18(c) all inspection requests must be submitted in writing at least 24 hours prior to requested inspection date. Inspections must be requested through the SDL portal.
YOU MUST CREATE AN SDL ACCOUNT TO USE THE PORTAL
This log in can be used with any town that utilizes the SDL portal. To switch between towns, click the drop-down menu in the top right-hand corner and select “Find a Town”. Make sure you are on the portal of the town where the work is being done.
