Must be out by 7:00 am the day of pick-up.
Collections may be cancelled during SNOWSTORMS and other WEATHER EMERGENCIES.
After snow events please place your garbage and recycling to the curb or shovel an adequate path to provide safe access.
February 2022 Reminders
- 1st Quarter Property Taxes Due February 1st – (10 day grace period).
- 1st Quarter Water & Sewer Payment Due February 1st – (30 day grace period).
- NO BULK TRASH OR BRUSH PICK-UP
GARBAGE – Only garbage which is generated in the Borough will be collected from residential and commercial users.
• Collection is limited to three (3) containers per collection date.
• Containers must have handles and cannot exceed 32 gallons in size.
• Loaded containers in excess of 50 lbs. weight will not be collected.
• Containers must be kept sanitary and free of water and ice.
• Containers at the curb should be placed no earlier than the night before and no later than 7:00 a.m. on the collection date. Empty containers cannot be left at the curb overnight or on weekends.
• Except where curbside collection is required (condominiums) containers may also be placed for collection at any accessible site in the rear yard. There will be no collection from fenced yards or where free access is hampered. Email sanitation@springlakehts.com to begin this service
RECYCLING The following materials must be separated for collection:
• MIXED PAPER: newspapers, magazines, catalogs, office paper, junk mail, flattened cardboard and paperboard (cereal boxes) can be placed in the same container for collection.
• BOTTLES & CANS: plastic OR , glass, tin or aluminum bottles, jars and cans can be placed in the same container for collection. Place recyclables in sturdy, open-top containers not exceeding 32 gallons or 50 lbs. weight. (RECYCLING IN A PLASTIC BAG WILL NOT BE COLLECTED)
• NO STYROFOAM – Throw out with household garbage.
