We would like to remind all residents about garbage collection in Spring Lake Heights.
We have a problem with residents who are using garbage cans like the one pictured below. All garbage is collected by hand and these cans can’t be lifted by our team members. The maximum size can that may be used is a 32 gallon can. If you are currently using the larger can, please discontinue immediately.
The same rules apply to recycling cans. All garbage must be bagged before being placed in the can and if it is not bagged, it will not be collected. Some residents are throwing their garbage directly into the cans and refuse to bag. We will not collect garbage in these cases.
Also attached to this post is a copy of the rules that have been in place for many years and are published in the SLH calendar that is available at Borough Hall.
For recycling all cardboard must be flattened and consolidated for pick up.
