In cooperation with the Monmouth County Road Department, Spring Lake Heights will be making road improvements to Essex Avenue. The milling and final paving of Essex Avenue from Route 71 to the railroad will begin on Monday, August 24, 2026 and will continue through Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Work begins at 6:30am and continues until 5:00pm or later as necessary. All vehicles must be removed from Essex Avenue by 6:00am. Vehicles will be towed at the owners expense after 6:00 am. Access to the roads will be very limited and residents will have limited access to their driveway when work is near their residence. Garbage, Recycling and Brush Collection for Essex Avenue residents will be at 7:00 am sharp at the curb. The trucks will not be able to return for collection after this time.
