POST SNOW INFORMATION

1/26/2026 Update: The Spring Lake Heights Public Works Department is finishing plowing and salting the school parking lot and surrounding sidewalks. They will continue to address the intersections and crosswalks. Please be advised that until that is complete, some intersections may remain snowed in. It is strongly suggested that children be dropped off at school and avoid walking if possible.

Public Works will continue to salt and plow the roadways. It would be helpful if vehicles remained off the streets to facilitate the removal of as much snow as possible.
Regular garbage collection schedule resumes tomorrow . However, all garbage this week will be picked up at the curb for the safety of the Borough employees. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Due to the inclement weather,
there will be No Garbage Collection tomorrow Monday 1/26,
the Public Works Yard will be closed Monday 1/26 and Tuesday 1/27,
and Borough Hall will be closed Monday 1/26

This weekend’s storm is shaping up to be significant. While forecasts can still shift, current projections show snow beginning late Saturday night into early Sunday and continuing through much of Sunday. Snowfall rates may start around a half inch per hour and could increase to near an inch per hour at times.
To keep roads passable and safe, our Department of Public Works team will be working throughout the weekend. During a storm of this intensity, plowing has to be continuous, meaning crews must keep moving while the snow is falling to prevent roads from becoming impassable.
For plows to do their job, all vehicles must be off the streets before snowfall begins. Any vehicle left parked on the roadway will be towed in accordance with borough ordinance.
This is not about a minor inconvenience. With the level of accumulation expected, cars parked on the street significantly delay plowing and create unsafe conditions for residents, DPW crews, police, and emergency responders.
Please do not leave vehicles on the roadway overnight Saturday. We will continue sharing reminders over the next few days, and we ask everyone not only to comply, but also to help spread the word to neighbors, friends, and family.
Thank you for your cooperation and for supporting our DPW, Police Department, and emergency services as we prepare for and respond to this storm.
